Lady Green Miami Recycling is a grassroots waste management and recycling company founded in 2010 with a mission to serve our communities by reducing and reusing waste as well as giving back through educational and incentive programs. Our mission is to provide sustainable waste management services and boost companies' bottom line through holistic practices in the workplace and in our homes. LGR recognizes the rising challenges and demands that our generation, and future ones, are beginning to face. Natural resource depletion, is of specific interest because natural resources provide all of the world's products and services.

We are dedicated to bringing the sustainable factor into today's waste management as we truly believe it significantly benefits the environment, our economy and quality of life.

Michelle founded LGR with a goal to protect the environment and help people and businesses through waste reduction in our communities. Coming from an entrepreneurial family, Michelle always knew she would one day start her own business doing something she is passionate about.

Michelle brings over a decade of management experience, including 7 years of executive management working with top business leaders. Prior to founding LGR, Michelle was part of a successful start-up company that is now a leader in the U.S. for deploying greenhouse gas reduction projects and renewable energy projects. Michelle received a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration in 2007 and later pursued her Master's in Environmental Studies at Florida International University. During her first year in graduate school, Michelle found much inspiration from her professors, peers and education, that she felt it was time to launch her recycling dream. She decided to fully invest her time and resources into creating her vision. Understanding the real value in education, Michelle continued to 'sit' in classes to learn the material without having to pay the cost of tuition.

In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets as well as training Brazilian Jiu-jitsu on a regular basis. You can catch her training BJJ or teaching self-defense classes at Gracie Barra Doral.

Meenakshi conferred a Bachelor's and Master's in Zoology from the University of Delhi, India and most recently, conferred another Master’s degree in Environmental Studies in 2012, from Florida International University. She taught Biology and General Science courses in middle schools and high schools in her home country and is currently teaching Environmental Science and Ecology of South Florida courses at Florida International University.

In addition to teaching, Meenakshi currently works at the International Hurricane Research Center at FIU. As a seasoned educator with over 10 years of teaching experience, Meenakshi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to LGR’s educational programs.

Dr. Werner recently became the first Hispanic female to earn a PhD in Physics at Florida International University. Born and raised in Miami, she has seen the city transform from a small suburban town to the metropolitan mecca that it is today.

As a scientist, her expertise is on delivering data-driven solutions. Her focus is assisting LGR to be the most innovative, informative and efficient provider of recycling services in the area. In addition, she interprets environmental data analytically and offers different view points on various subject matter.
